the 10ththth

I found it interesting that most students have a good understanding of technology already. I understand that a class in very important to introduce the teaching aspects of technology but maybe shouldn't be a requirement for students who could ace every test without even studying once. Most students seemed to keep an open mind though and still do the required work.

The next two questions i have already answered in my previous blog. I will just talk about whats going on this last week.

So Dallas beat the packers last night and i was pretty upset i really really don't like Dallas I'm saying there without a doubt my least favorite team in the NFL and Bret Farve come on now whats not to like about him, hes old as hell but still can play. So im kinda glad this class is over, it was fun but im just excited to go home for break and do nothing for about 3 weeks. Then its back down to Tally for practice and rehab and class everyday. But i might continue this blog why? i dont know if im ever bored....

I found a website thats is very helpful with resources for teachers. Oddly enough i typed in teaching resources on Google and this is what i found. http://www.trcabc.com/ its a website that has so many different tools to help teachers in their everyday classroom.

I feel like i will use power point the most when I'm teaching. its a great way to show certain topics that I'm discussing. No student is the same and none of them learn the same and power point is a great way to help the different learners learn at the same time.

I think i would like to learn who to create a website. Its always something i have wanted to do but never quite knew how to start and maintain a website. I wanted to start one after my best friend died of cancer last year and use it to reach out to others and help collect donations for his cause. If anyone is actually reading this and has any clue please shoot me an email. I would still be interested in creating one.

I feel that im pretty set for my future educational technology-related goals. I know how to do pretty much everything that teachers do now a days. There are a few things that i can work on though so i am better then the average teacher. And with a world thats advancing like it is I'm pretty sure i will some day be one of those teachers that has no idea whats going on with technology.

The 8TH

Chapter 8 was all about computer security and viruses. BORING... it included topics including virus detection and removal, hardware theft and vandalism and how to back up your computer. I think people who mess all this stuff up and comit computer fraud should just caught and strangled with computer wires... ok maybe thats a little harsh but something close to that...

I thought the games on PowerPoint were cool, I never knew that you could make them like that and i see myself creating a game like that for my students in the future. It was really easy to you just had to know a little bit about what you were doing...

SO, this week has been crummy, Ive had this little sniffle all week and im trying to get over it and i went home last weekend and forgot my phone so i feel so lost without it, its a pain because i have practice and lifting everyday at different times most days and i have to just go over my friends to find out what time everything is. How about that win over boston college that was awesome, but ruining my good weekend the eagles lost to dallas, i hate dallas and T.O. lets not get started on him because im pretty sure im not allowed to curse in this posting thing... but over all it was a good weekend, im not sure what else i have to do for this class so i went online and just posted like 16 comments thinking that will cover me for the rest of the semester? oh well but i think we have the skill check for power point and i did the prac test and then we have those dumb other post for that one lady who couldnt breathe.
